Gone Fishing **Paper House & Susan K. Weckesser**

This past summer we spend 2 weeks in Colorado, of course we just had to go fishing!!  We could not have picked a more perfect day, location, moment for the best pictures.  Both of my boys at different times walked over to the side bank and decided to fish there rather than the pier.  Morgan actually caught a little trout.  They were never there at the same time, but they both were in the exact same location, and wow they picked a great location.  The water was so still it acted like a mirror for the sky, just beautiful!!

Both of the boys pictures were so beautiful, how do you decide which to use? Make two layouts to really show off the scenery, but then I would really have two layouts that are the same?  So instead I choose smaller pictures, lined them up next to each other and decided to showcase the larger pictures here!!

Brandon age 4
Morgan age 8
I used the wonderful paper "Gone Fishing" from Paper House as the backdrop to this layout, it just matched the pictures wonderfully!!

I just love these wonderful chalkboard stickers from Paper House, they have such dimension and go with so many different kinds of projects!!  here you can also see the top of one of the super cute 3D stickers from the "Grandpa" set, it has some really fun fishing stickers on it too!!  Here I also took the striped pennant stamp from Susan K. Weckesser, stamped with brown ink on cream cardstock, cut out each pennant and layered it under the layers of papers and picture, and tied it off with twine to look like a banner.

On top of the fabulous Paper House "Gone Fishing" paper I used various colors of cardstock in green, brown, white, tan, cream, and grey to match the colors of the stickers, pictures, and layered them vertically using border punches and Susan K. Weckesser Washi stamps to add dimension.  I even tucked a few little diecut stickers from the "Outdoor" pack from Paper House.  Here you can see a little fish.  I also used the brown space as journaling with the same chalk pencil I used on the chalkboard sticker to tie it all together.  Here is also a wonderful view of the "Hooked" 3D sticker from Paper House with a little fish poking out the side.

Here is another fishing pole I pulled from the "Gone Fishing" 3D stickers pack.  I pulled it and the other poles from the "A Reel Hobby" sticker and laid them vertically along the layers adding in a fly and lure to the ends of the polls.  Here is also another wonderful sticker from the "Grandpa" 3D sticker pack layered on top of a diecut leaf and some more washi tape stamps from Susan K. Weckesser.  You can also see some of the "splatter it" stamp in the background too.

I love these moments in life, where it all slows down and you just take in nature.  Those simple moments were you just breathe in the fresh air and take it all in.
